Though Colonial Philadelphia was mostly comprised of Quakers and those who belonged to the Church of England, Jews and Jewish heritage played a large part in the history of early Philadelphia.

The city's American Jewish Committee members strive to educate Jewish and non-Jewish visitors about the role that Jews played in colonial Philadelphia.

Available as a walking, bus, or combination tour, this tour stops at homes and businesses throughout center city where early Jewish colonists made an impact on the town of Philadelphia.

Hear the stories of these colonists and their achievements as well as their struggle for religious independence.

The tours can also be combined with a trip to the historic Mikveh Israel Synagogue.

Use Philadelphia Kids and make Philadelphia fun for the kids...and you!
