The Wachovia Center in Philadelphia had many names throughout its history.
Regardless, the Wachovia Center (named for a local financial institution) is still the premiere venue for large concerts and sporting events in the Philadelphia area. The huge center plays host to Philadelphia's basketball team, the 76ers, as well as the city's NHL franchise, The Flyers. The center also offers a number of family-oriented events such as ice shows during the winter and the Ringling Bros./Barnum and Bailey Circus in the summertime.
