Sesame Place in Philadelphia is owned by the Anheuser-Busch family of theme parks. Sesame Place is one of the only parks in the country that caters to the pre-school set. But don't let the name fool you! With a huge number of water rides, this park is perfect for the whole family.

As a matter of fact, local residents visit the park several times a week to beat the Pennsylvania heat and humidity. Everyone's favorite characters like Big Bird, Elmo, Zoe, Cookie Monster, and Grover roam the streets of Sesame Place all day long, much to the delight of small children. Kids also love the "Rock Around the Block" parade and the live character stage shows, presented several times daily. The "dry" attractions let pre-schoolers do what they do best - climb, slide, twirl, bounce, and much more.

Sesame Place boasts one tame roller coaster, the Vapor Trail, perfect for beginning coaster aficionados. Water attractions sport such names as The Count's Fount and the Little Bird Rapids for tiny children and older youth and adults will enjoy Sky Splash, the wave pool, and many of the other dozen water rides.

There's lots of food available around the park and advance reservations will have your child eating with Big Bird. There's lots of shopping venues, too.
