Penn's Landing in Philadelphia is the name given to Philadelphia's colorful waterfront. Located on the Delaware River, it is always jumping with activity. The site of many of Philadelphia's annual festivals, the landing boasts two main staging areas, the Great Plaza and the Festival Pier, as well as a seasonal outdoor skating rink.

Penn's Landing is also home to the USS Olympia, harbored at the Independence Seaport Museum, which is part of the river-side complex. The Olympia is the oldest steel warship in the world and fought in the Spanish-American War and World War I.

Each year, the landing hosts an amazing Fourth of July extravaganza, attended by thousands and ending with a phenomenal fireworks display. The two stages also host such favorites as the annual Jazz on the Waterfront series.

Restaurants are plentiful in the Penn's Landing area and include fun dining establishments like Dave and Buster's as well as posh high-end restaurants such as The Chart House. Visitors can even have dinner on a refurbished tall ship, the Moshulu. Families will enjoy the Spirit of Philadelphia boat cruise, launched from Penn's Landing, which provides visitors with great views of both the Philadelphia and Camden waterfronts.
