Longwood Gardens, one of the world's largest horticultural displays, is a site to behold, especially in the spring and summer months. The gardens, sometimes called DuPont Gardens in honor of its founder Pierre DuPont, boasts 1050 acres with 20 outdoor gardens, 20 indoor gardens within 4 acres of heated greenhouses, 11,000 different types of plants and an amazing display of dancing fountains.

Visitors can spend hours strolling through the gardens on their own or can take advantage of the calendar full of special events offered almost daily at Longwood Gardens. Adults will learn about different kinds of plants and flowers and enjoy specially-organized guided walks around the gardens while children may take advantage of special story times and other organized kid-friendly activities.

Holidays represent special times at Longwood and visitors to the gardens in December will thrill at the thousands of poinsettias, decorated trees, and wreaths that decorate the 1000+ plus acres. Music is never far away from Longwood Gardens. The facility is home to a huge pipe organ and a majestic carillon and concerts on both instruments are frequent.
