Philadelphia‘s Fels Planetarium at the Franklin Institute Science Center, opened in 1933, was the second planetarium built in the United States. It is estimated that, since that time, Fels Planetarium has taught nine million visitors about the stars and the planets. The planetarium was renovated in 2002 and now provides a more state-of-the-art show projected on an aluminum dome that encompasses the audience.
The facility is now ADA accessible...
