Located just west of center city Philadelphia, picturesque Manayunk is the perfect place for a summer art festival. The picturesque hilly streets of the suburb boast more than 70 boutiques and galleries and a plethora of eateries ranging from fine gourmet restaurants to trendy sushi bars and pizza joints.
For sixteen years in a row, the town has played host to an art festival featuring the works of more than 250 artists from around the country. This juried show attracts a variety of artists from painters to sculptors to potters and wood turners and winning acclaim at this event is indeed an honor.
In past years, the Manayunk Art Festival has attracted more than a quarter-of-a-million visitors, all there not only to take in the art show but also to enjoy the quaint town that does a great job of handling the crowds and making the weekend an enjoyable one for all in attendance.
