We all know that dogs are man‘s best friend but how much do you actually know about these favorite animals that have been loved by humans for centuries? At the Academy of Natural Sciences‘ new exhibit about our four-legged friends, visitors will take home a wealth of information that will give them new-found respect for their pet pooches.
DOGS is touted as the largest, most comprehensive traveling exhibit of its kind, providing visitors to the museum with an opportunity to learn about the evolution, history, and biology of dogs and the role they‘ve played in society and in the lives of the human population. Visitors will learn about guide dogs, police dogs, search and rescue animals, and many other special canine friends.
Learn why dogs bark the way they do and find out why they have such a great sense of smell. Live demos include visits with special helper dogs and entertaining exhibitions by show animals.
There are also plenty of craft activities, doggie face painting, and much more to delight visitors of all ages, especially those that love dogs.
