Location: Independence Living History Center, 115 S. 3rd St
Philadelphia’s Colonial Kids’ Quest gets kids in junior detective mode and out on a quest for history. The tour of the Living History Center puts kids front and center in a hunt with Casper the history hound dog, who needs help solving the mystery of a missing copy of the Declaration of Independence.
Casper and his friend Fish introduce kids to some of their Colonial friends and puppet pals along the way.
The kids search for clues at historic sites, and if they follow the trail correctly and solve the mystery, they find a special prize.
Now that sounds like fun for kids and grownups too. Kids will love the adventure of going on a quest, and they’ll learn as they go along..
Adults will enjoy the challenge of a puzzle and finding the answers in this entertaining venue that tells us so much about our nation’s history. This is a great way to spend an afternoon, and your kids will enjoy retelling their voyage again and again.
